Poems: Love, Confusion, My Words
My Words
What I say every day.
My words are what keep me alive,
That helps
I thrive
In a world of injustice.
Without words what would I be?
I would be like a bird that couldnt fly away.
I would be like a tiger that was trapped in cage of steel.
With no hope of freedom.
Sometime I wonder what life would be like,
If everything had gone according to plan.
That we could all be perfect,
I know thats impossible
Because nobodys perfect.
The only perfect one
Is God.
Even though I know these truths
Its hard not to wonder.
Its hard not to wonder what life would be like
If we could have
That stereotypical perfect family.
But were all different,
One of the simple truths
Of the world.
These are my words.
Truth that I speak.
The truths of life,
Love,
And learning.
These are my words
Confusion
Confusion.
What words can describe,
That emotion.
The feeling of
A scattered mind- a state of mind.
The feeling just like
A mother in deep desperation
Looking for her missing link,
Her child.
You can read the definition
In the dictionary.
An act or instance of confusing.
Or
The quality or state of being confused.
What I dont understand is
How can you define it?
Confusion I think is like colors
Its in the eye of the beholder
How can we know what true confusion is?
Just like how do we know what color is what?
All Im saying is you cant define confusion,
You can just feel it.
Like an ocean breeze.
The feeling of a scattered mind- a state of mind.
Love
Love.
The everlasting flame,
Of the heart.
The one thing,
That can keep one alive.
If the flame is blown out
There is death.
A broken heart
Shattered in a million tiny pieces.
But,
If the flame is kept
Anything,
Anything
Can be accomplished.
Walking over burning coals,
Youll do what ever it takes
To keep that flame called love
Alive.
For some, its not everlasting.
Fickle
Like the moon.
For others its the real
Head over heels love.
Nothing can keep me,
From the one that I know is my other half
Kind of love.
For me,
I havent had the chance for that
Awe-inspiring
Breathtaking
Thing called love.
